Born and raised in Paris, Louboutin apprenticed for the Folies Bergeres and freelanced for top designers including Chanel, YSL, and Maud Frizon. In 1992, Louboutin established his own brand and opened the first boutique in Paris. Women now lust after these red-soled masterpieces. And why wouldn’t they when he intends on creating “shoes that are like jewels.”
