Stella McCartney

“I am in the fashion business but I feel when I design I’m in the business of trying to figure out what people want and why they want it. One of the main reasons that I do work in the fashion industry is because I’m intrigued about why people choose certain clothes to reflect their mood.”
Daughter of Sir Paul McCartney, Stella was born to shine. Raised in the English countryside, she knew from an early age that her future was in fashion. Only two years after graduating from Central St. Martin’s in 1995, McCartney became Creative Director of Chloe. After success with Chloe, Stella launched her own label in collaboration with the Gucci group in 2001. As an animal rights activist and life long vegetarian, she uses no fur or leather in her designs and credits the “natural environment” for her inspiration. Her clothing is delicate and feminine yet sexy.
